Welcome to 2017!
I hope everyone had a great break and enjoyed their time with family and friends over the winter break.  Although its nice to have time to relax we must now get back into our routines and schedules... so this week we will begin with Guided Reading and improving our writing skills as well as students can hand in their reading logs and start another log sheet for the Home reading program.
In math we will begin adding with three digit numbers and also building our foundation for multiplication concept.  Please continue practicing skip counting at home from any number as this mental math skill will enhance the understanding with the times table.  In Science we will be moving onto learning about biodiversity and why is it important to ecosystems.  In Social Studies we will continue with First Peoples cultures....please if you have any concerns or questions please email me or phone the school to make an appointment to meet.
