Welcome to 2014!
I hope everyone had a great break and enjoyed their time with family and friends over the winter break. Although its nice to have time to relax we must now get back into our routines and schedules... so this week we will begin with new sight words and continue with our Home reading program. Kindergarten students will be introduced to Home Reading program this month, its going to be exciting! We will also try to complete projects that were started before the break!
In math we will continue to develop an understanding of the "subtraction" concept as well as counting by 2's, 5's, 10's and counting backwards from 100. In Science we will be learning about animals' needs such as shelter and food. Social Studies our "responsibilities" will continue...If you have any questions or concerns about your child progress please either e-mail me(adhaliwal@sd73.bc.ca) or phone the school and we can arrange a time to meet.

Wednesday-bring over due library books in & Gym Day
