In Social Studies, students will continue with the early Shuswap culture and early pioneers who discovered Canada. In Math, students will continue with fractions. In
Science, we are working on matter unit.
In Language Arts students will continue with our poem unit and we will also work on our comprehension unit.
Show & Tell
This month’s theme is SCIENCE. On their day, students are encouraged to bring one “mystery” science item to share. Classmates will attempt to guess what the hidden item is by asking questions. Students can bring an item (like a crystal or a wasp nest) or can bring a picture of something science related that they have research (only a few details please). TOYS ARE NOT ALLOWED. If your child is sick for his/her Show&Tell day, he/she will get to make up his/her missed day as soon as he/she returns to school. If your child forgets his/her Show&Tell day, he/she will be encouraged to share (Tell) about something as part of his turn. Children who forget will not be given the opportunity to “make up” Show&Tell.
