In Social Studies, students learned what "rights" they have as students, and the many types of jobs around the school. We will continue with our new unit on Canada and Canadian symbols.
In Math, students will continue with addition and subtraction concepts, and we are beginning to work on "half & quarter" fraction concept.
In Language Arts students are beginning comprehension unit...should be exciting week!
Show & Tell
This month’s theme is SCIENCE. On their day, students are encouraged to bring one “mystery” science item to share. Classmates will attempt to guess what the hidden item is by asking questions. Students can bring an item (like a crystal or a wasp nest) or can bring a picture of something science related that they have research (only a few details please). TOYS ARE NOT ALLOWED. If your child is sick for his Show&Tell day, he will get to make up his missed day as soon as he returns to school. If your child forgets his Show&Tell day, he will be encouraged to share (Tell) about something as part of his turn. Children who forget will not be given the opportunity to “make up” Show&Tell.
