In Social Studies, students will begin a new unit on Canada and Canadian symbols this week.
In Math, students will continue with addition and subtraction concepts, and we are working on "time"...next will be the half hour concept.
In Language Arts students are working on word matching and very short stories for a very short "novel study" which will see them expanding their outlook on stories. Should be exciting! Home Reading will continue this week.
Our hertiage stamps of Canada were on display this past week in the gym...what a great job students did!
Show & Tell Theme: Something I am Good At
For our next round of Show & Tell, we will be sharing something that we are good at. This is a great opportunity for your child to bring in pictures, a trophy, ribbons, medals, etc. pertaining to ONE activity that they excel in. Your son/daughter may also choose to do a demonstration, if applicable. This can also be a picture or craft that your child has made (if that is his talent). Maybe he can share about a club he/she belongs to. The goal of this Show & Tell is for us to see how different we all are, and that everyone is good at something. If you need help figuring out what to share, please let me know. Thanks.
