In Social Studies, students will begin a new unit on Pioneers who came to Canada. In Math, students will continue with addition and subtraction concepts of money. In Science, we are working on the water cycle and the effects of weather on landforms.
In Language Arts students will continue with the comprehension unit...should be exciting week!
Show & Tell
This month’s theme is SCIENCE. On their day, students are encouraged to bring one “mystery” science item to share. Classmates will attempt to guess what the hidden item is by asking questions. Students can bring an item (like a crystal or a wasp nest) or can bring a picture of something science related that they have research (only a few details please). TOYS ARE NOT ALLOWED. If your child is sick for his/her Show&Tell day, he/she will get to make up his/her missed day as soon as he/she returns to school. If your child forgets his/her Show&Tell day, he/she will be encouraged to share (Tell) about something as part of his turn. Children who forget will not be given the opportunity to “make up” Show&Tell.
