Feb.6-10 02/05/2012

Well we are going into the second week of February...and it looks like another busy week for students!  The "cold bug" has hit our school, so I will be reminding students to wash hands even more so...hopefully this will keep our class healthy.
In Math, we are going to learn about "time" so students will gain knowledge of how to tell time...(very important to know when to have snack!), and we will continue with addition and subtraction.  In Science, we are continuing with Force and Motion...and a field trip to the Big Little Science Center to wrap up the unit (details on field trip should be coming out soon).  Social Studies we are learning about mapping...and students have created maps on their bedrooms and our classroom.  Language Arts will see our Fairy Tale unit continue...students are learning about different parts of the stories.
I sent out an email concerning empty kleenex boxes...I thought I had a few but I don't...so if you have empty boxes we really do need them (24 boxes!).
Valentine’s Day
We will be having a low key Valentine’s Day in class this year. Students are encouraged to give Valentine’s to each other, but please ensure that your child gives a Valentine to EVERY STUDENT IN THE CLASS. We have 24 students in our class. I will sent out a student list through email.
Let's take a look at this week:
